ABOUT

 

Keysborough Kindergarten is a non-profit organisation utilising council buildings and grounds. Funding is divided between the Victorian Government and fundraising.



At Keysborough Kindergarten we value every child's inherent and individual capacities. We therefore believe that each child has the right to access quality education which prepares them to become valuable, active and knowledgeable contributors of the community.

 

The educators at Keysborough Kindergarten celebrate diversity of all kinds - cultural, ethical, developmental and linguistical. We therefore endeavour to create an environment in which children feel safe to express themselves and explore different realities.

 

The environment we promote supports a holistic and strength-based approach to children's learning. The curriculum we implement integrates aspects that address all areas of development to ensure a firm foundation for later academic and social success. We recognize the fundamental role of families in this process and endeavour to create trusting, respectful, honest and particularly cooperative relationships with each. Naturally confidentiality is at the heart of every relationship. In addition we reach out to the wider community for support and learning relationships.

 

Overall, Keysborough Kindergarten supports a play-based approach to children's learning in the years leading up to school and firmly believes that a child's years at kindergarten should be enjoyable ones.
