Keysborough Kindergarten Inc

Our Kindergarten Program
At Keysborough Kindergarten, every child is a capable, curious and confident learner. Our program is guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and is designed to inspire children to explore, discover, create and grow.
Our inclusive indoor and outdoor learning environment offers rich, hands-on experiences where children can follow their interests, ask questions, take risks, solve problems and develop a love of learning.
We believe children should have a voice in their learning. Through meaningful choices and opportunities to share their ideas, children develop agency, confidence and independence. We work closely with children and families to make decisions that reflect each child’s strengths, interests, culture and individual needs.
Through play-based learning and intentional teaching, we nurture children’s identity, wellbeing, relationships, communication and learning. We foster the confidence, independence and skills children need to embrace their next exciting step into school and beyond.
Our kindergarten groups bring 3- and 4-year-old children together, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where children learn with and from one another.
Mixed-age learning encourages children to:
-
Build friendships, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.
-
Learn through collaboration, observation and shared experiences.
-
Develop leadership, empathy, communication and independence.
-
Learn at their own pace, following their individual strengths and interests.
-
Support and encourage one another while developing cooperation and respect.
We value the unique contribution every child brings. Our mixed-age approach creates a supportive community where every child has a valued place to belong, learn and grow.
